The Wildwood Conservation Foundation (WCF) was established “to conserve the beauty and tranquility of Wildwood, and to use the land to nourish the physical and emotional human spirit.”
WCF is a 501(c)3 non-profit charitable organization.
Wildwood is a secluded, private environment nestled in the hills outside Guerneville in Sonoma
County, California. It sits atop Spring Mountain and spirals down to East Austin Creek, just 80 miles north of San Francisco and 10 miles from the Pacific Ocean.
For decades Wildwood has been a haven for groups and individuals seeking enrichment, solace, spiritual transformation, personal growth and community. Our retreat center is operated to make Wildwood available as a sanctuary for personal growth and transformation, and to support our land conservancy efforts. Our daily business decisions are aligned with our larger vision and commitment to establish Wildwood as a sanctuary for ecosystems, plant species, and animal habitats as well as for people.
Wildwood’s 210 acres of unspoiled forests, meadows and streams are home to deer, raccoons, hawks, and other birds and wild creatures living undisturbed in their natural habitat. Redwood groves, fir trees and giant oaks grace a magnificent landscape of rolling hills, sunny meadows and striking vistas. It is a majestic, inspiring place full of natural contrasts and variety, breath-taking beauty and simple grandeur.
This unspoiled wilderness is protected from development in perpetuity.
Wildwood Conservation Foundation Values
1. Inclusive Community: Wildwood fosters the development of community that is loving and inclusive, that honors all sexual orientations and spiritual paths, that fosters a culture of volunteerism, and respects people of every race, gender, age, and physical ability.
2. Sanctuary for Healing: Wildwood serves as a sanctuary for healing that, by integrating mind, body, and spirit, embraces the sacred nature of erotic energy to promote physical, emotional, spiritual, and planetary well being.
3. Conservation Values: Wildwood serves as a model for preservation of the natural surroundings by using principles of sustainability and ecological integrity and, in the process, invigorating people’s spiritual connection to the land.
4. Future Generations: Wildwood is committed to preserving this sanctuary for future generations by operating a
foundation that endures through principles of fiscal responsibility (in management, accounting, fundraising), by developing long-range strategies for building maintenance and upkeep, by building a culture of volunteerism and creating endowed funds for supporting those individuals and organizations in financial need.
5. Catalyst for Transformation: Wildwood supports personal growth and transformation for individuals, institutions, and creative organizations.
